Do you love ghost stories, haunted places, and scaring tourists just enough to make them question their life choices? Do you own way too many black shirts, have an unhealthy fascination with The Conjuring, and still think about that clown under the bed in Poltergeist? If so, we need YOU to join Pensacola History & Hauntings as our newest Ghost Tour Guide!

 

CALLING ALL WEIRDOS!

We’re not looking for ordinary folks. Oh no. We need the cryptid-obsessed, the paranormal enthusiasts, the ones who think cemeteries are a great place for a picnic. Maybe you’ve watched every episode of Ghost Adventures and lowkey have a crush on Zak Bagans. Maybe you have every Anne Rice novel in hardcover. Maybe you just want to rebel against your straight-laced friends and family by moonlighting as a professional ghost whisperer. If this sounds like you, we need to talk.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS (A.K.A. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?)

  • Must not be afraid of ghosts. Seriously. They will mess with you. Consider this your warning.

  • Must be able to walk haunted streets at night. That’s right. You’ll be wandering through the most haunted parts of Pensacola in the dark while telling stories of gruesome murders and lingering spirits. Hope you have good nerves.

  • Love for horror movies is a plus. Bonus points if you can name at least five that made you sleep with the lights on. Hereditary? The Exorcist? The Babadook?

  • Strong storytelling skills. If you can make a room go dead silent with a ghost story, you’re our kind of person.

  • Local history buff? Even better. Pensacola has a haunted history, and you’ll be the one bringing it to life (or, well, afterlife).

  • You might be a vampire. We’re not saying you have to be, but if you prefer the nightlife, wear a lot of black, and mysteriously avoid garlic, we won’t judge.

  • A little bit of nerd energy is welcome. Maybe you play Phasmophobia, believe in UFOs, or have an unexplained childhood memory that haunts you to this day. We support your weirdness.

 

THE PERKS OF BEING A PROFESSIONAL HAUNTER:

  • Make money scaring people! Yes, this is legal.

  • Up to $75 per tour plus tips. Guests love tipping the guide who made them sleep with a nightlight.

  • Flexible hours! Work in the evenings while still having time to watch horror movies alone (if you dare).

  • Meet fellow weirdos! You’ll be surrounded by people who also think ghost hunting is a great Friday night activity.

  • Free or discounted tours! Want to bring your family and make them question everything they thought they knew about Pensacola? We got you.

  • Endless street cred. Imagine telling people at parties, “Oh yeah, I lead ghost tours for a living.”
